Hey Wendell & Angel,

I'm coming to Salem for the OGUG meeting and have to take my son (Willamette student) out for pizza. Where do I go?

TIA,

Doug

If he has an appetite like I did at that age, I suggest something like Ci Ci's Pizza buffet. I regularly ate about 8,000+ calories a day back then.B-)

My wife says that Straight From New York has the closest thing to authentic NY pizza she's had here in Oregon. We both love it.

If you are headed over to West Salem, I hear that Walery's is the best in town but I have not personally tried it yet.

Many people around here say that Padington's is the best pizza in town. Angel and I have been there once but neither of us were overly impressed.

Thanks Wendell! I'm thinking a little NY might be just the ticket.

Joe!!!

I don't have to go to New Haven. About 3/4 mile from my front door is Colonna'Pizza run by Bobby Colonna and his family.
Great pictures inside of Frank Pepe's and a lot of Bobby as a kid there in New Haven.

But to be honest and having been raised in North Jersey, I still think that North Jersey is the best. 😀

Bobby Colonna

plus as you stated, anyone who thinks that chain pizza is pizza... doesn't know what pizza is suppose to be.
