I've got some bad news. There will be no more Boudreaux & Thibodeaux jokes.
Boudreaux passed away and left a will. He wanted to be buried at sea.
Thibodeaux drowned trying to dig his grave.
How sad.....
You have one hell of a good looking rig. You fish commercially, or for fun or both?
say it ain't so
I live in south Louisiana right along the coast about 100 miles west of New Orleans. I fish for pleasure all inshore mostly for redfish, but sometimes speckle trout.
Do you recognize who makes the boat?
I thought he was already gone. I read this the other day:
Well suddenly while fishing Boudreaux died. His widow Marie send his obituary into the newspaper. It said Boudreaux died yesterday while fishing. Well the newspaper people called her and said you can put a little more in the paper. You have 10 lines. So the next day the obituary appeared in the paper: "Boudreaux died while fishing yesterday. Boat For Sale."

Firsty guess is Dusky, second Andros 26, third Robolo, Mako or Aquasport? Running out of Ponce Inlet in Daytona Beach it's not unusual to see boats like yours 65 miles offshore (Gulf Stream) fishing for dolphin, kings, and a little closer inshore for snapper and grouper.

back when we were teenagers my brother and i would sometimes (not too often) take our 14' off-brand whaler out and fish the canaveral ship channel buoys. think the furthest we ever had the nerve (and gas and sunscreen) for was 16 or 17 miles.

When you are a teenager you are invincible, or so you think!
I am in awe that I'm still alive considering some of the stuff I did when in my teens. (Boats and anything with wheels and an engine).
OK, Paden, the last sentence should stir up a tale or two! Your turn. 😎

yep. same here. had a cousin who didn't make it through, but somehow the rest of us did. oh, you can add 'things with fuses and gunpowder and bullets' to the wheel and engine statement.

Making homemade guns was just a right of passage for the Cash boys. We never used them illegally, but nailed every empty pop bottle in our "Mulenburg County". Here's a science fair project my older brother put together once...it got pulled by the Principal, but we all knew it was winner.
Prototype Glock! You were before your time. 🙂 Jp
the boat is made by Ben Sheaffer, one of the top two or three bay boats made.
