There is some incredibly long story involving a cat that liked to chew on shoes and it had damaged some brand new ones.?ÿ The upset owner is telling a friend about this when the cat appears in the room.?ÿ The friend asks, "Is that the cat that chewed the new shoes?"
It's a musical joke when said rapidly.
OK.?ÿ I can take a hint.?ÿ Taking my medication and toddling off to bed now.

It's not all that long really...
Roy Rogers left a new pair of shoes outside on the stoop one night, only to wake and find that a puma had chewed them to pieces.?ÿ Angry at the cat Roy saddled up, grabbed his gun and rode off to get revenge.?ÿ
Upon his return, with a dead mountain lion draped across his pack horse, his wife Dale asked him (in a lyrical muse to the tune of "Chattanooga Choo-Choo") ,"Pardon me Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?"?ÿ
Now, I'll take that same hint..... 😉

Here is one that I do not know the answer to yet:
Jane has one clock that she forgot to wind so it stopped.
She went to have dinner with her friend, and when she returned she knew precisely what time it was.
So she was able to wind and have her clock at the correct time.
How did she do it??ÿ
She had more than one clock, so she used the one still running to set the one that stopped.?ÿ Going to dinner had nothing to do with her ability to set the stopped clock.
@holy-cow the clue I got was that the answer has nothing to do with technology. My guess was that she stole a clock from her friend at dinner. They said no... Another guess was that she got home exactly 12 hours after she left to go to dinner. I don't think that is the answer either.
