Thanks, Mike, that was well worth reading. I feel better for it. Teachers are all around us. We just have to recognize them. Reub is pretty easy to see.

I have owned his book for many years, good reading and real interesting, especially if you live in Oregon.

I read his book when I was a part time librarian, a favorite of one of our local columnists. He saw me reading Will Rogers one day and suggested I check him out, until this day didn't remember his name.
I will look it up and should make the perfect Christmas gift to several of my fellow cracker barrel philosophers.
