prayer for ships and mariners in the Bering and Chukchi seas

looks like this is a monster storm. I wish my fellow mariners all the best. The Bering, Chukchi and Beaufort seas are never easy, even in good weather. Let us say a quick prayer for all ships at sea there.a badass storm

Yeah, that looks mighty dam bad.
Tell the "Deadliest Catch" crews to stay at home/port.
I think it's still too early for opelio (sp?). Don't know about snow or kings.

I've been listening to local reports and sounds like mariners in the Aleutians have taken heed of the warnings and are laying low until things settle down. Storm damage sounds like it hasn't been as bad a predicted. This weather system is sucking a lot of warm wet air up this way in that polar vortex things and spinning off some frigid arctic air into the upper Midwest.

My skis continue to collect dust. Damn the polar vortex! :pissed:
