Most of us are larger than average. Does that count?

Me & the Mrs., 3 daughters, 3 grandkids, one son-in-law

One sister, two nephews and two niece-in-laws, one great-niece/nephew (not sure which).

Five first cousins with four spouses. Where are we supposed to stop?

> How many people are in your living family?

Define "living". I am the only one left in my direct, immediate family. Parents are passed, no wife, no kids, no brothers or sisters.

I have one aunt left living (dad's sis), and she had two daughters (my cousins). Both have husbands and children. On my mom's side (she had one sis), I have two male cousins, both with wives and children.

Father has gone on to the beyond.

My Mother is still with us and as feisty as ever. I think losing Dad was very tough but she is a very active person with lots of friends so that makes going on more doable. She is living with my sister in Virginia. As we get older, living alone can be frustrating (memory) so having assistance reduces the frustration, thus longer life.

Brother 1, his wife, 2 daughters, 1 son, 2 grandchildren
Brother 2, his wife, 3 daughters, 1 son, 1 grandchild
Sister 1, single.
Sister 2, husband and 2 daughters (younger than mine).
Me, wife and 2 daughters, no grandchildren yet.

My mother and father-in-law are both still with us.
Wife has 2 brothers, oldest has 3 sons (no grandchildren) and the youngest has a daughter, twin sons plus a 3rd son (no grandchildren).

My mother's sisters are still alive and my Dad's older brother is still alive too. All of my grandparents and my wife's grandparents have passed on now.

My two nephews have a ridiculous number of relatives on their father's side of the family. He was one of six kids. His mother was one of 16 kids and his dad was one of 19 kids. Not Catholic or Chinese, just horny, I guess.

39 +/- starting with Grandma and including my Brother, Sister, Step Sister, and all there kids and grandkids. There are usually 15 to 25 at my Mother's for Sunday dinner on any given Sunday. If I include Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, I'm not sure I could count that high. My Dad was the youngest of 10 and My Mother is the oldest of 5 with one half brother and 3 step sisters. You are making my head hurt just thinking about it.

James

With all due respect Mr Lines, this is a very disrespectfull topic.

Lots of people with lots of very beloved dead relatives, many recently. Not to mention some they don't even want to remember. Then those they never met and likely never will.

Don't you have some real work to do? Or maybe some google kind of search for a soul.... sad

Think about it....

A lot...........

I got marriad about 1.5 years ago and on just my side of the family 45 people came. Needless to say what the wife's family thought.

Between MS,AL,LA,MO,TN,TX,CO,ID,IL we probably have about 89.6 people in my living family. It's he double hockeysticks at Christmas time... All the cards.

Don't worry Wayne, I am in the same boat as everybody else, people we love die, we are going to die, get over it.

It sounds like someone close to you may have recently passed, if that is the case, sorry for your loss.

Thinking about dead relatives should not be so sad, for me it is the closest I can get to them and I like to honor them by remembering the good and forgetting the bad.

Actually, I thought knowing this information about our vitrual friends would be helpful.

Actually, I was out of line with that post. I've got lots of dead relatives that I often call on for peace of mind and some direction in life decisions. And some dear friends that are (were) closer than most of my relatives. Case in point that I won't dwell on.

Sorry for the trouble. Mood swing I guess

2 parents no wife or children
1 brother, his wife and 2 grown children
1 sister, her husband and 1 grown daughter
No aunts, uncles, or first cousins. Both parents are only children.
All grandparents have passed away.

That totals 10 including me.
