I've got a small sprayer that you pull behind a lawn more that is powered by a small electric pump. How do I winterize the pump? I know that if that thing freezes it will bust and I'll have to buy a new one.
Fill it with vodka, (Russian answer)
Fill it with ethelene glycon (american answer)
Fill it with GREEN antifreeze, (NEW american environmentalist answer)
Hide it under the bed, or in the bathroom, where it won't freeze. (Redneck answer, )

Insulation blanket?

RV places sell an antifreeze for RV potable water systems which I assume is non-toxic, if you are concerned about that. Run it through the pump.
Standard automobile antifreeze is attractive to animals because it tastes sweet but it is very toxic.
Pore the mix out into something and run the pump dry a very short time until no fluid is coming out of the nozzles. Open the boom feed and leave open, take nozzles apart, clean and store them along with the no drip device along with its diaphram. Or just empty the system and run RV antifreeze through it, that will protect the pump, lines, valves, booms and nozzles.
