Have sung this to my kids since they've been kids. Dad used to wear out his Don Williams 8 tracks on road trips.
I was just through Floydada (pumpkin capital of the world) a couple weeks ago, thought about him as I passed through.
Happy trails, RIP.
He took a few years off and about 2006 or 2007 we went to see his first "return" tour engagement in OKC. His second banana was Joey and Rory Feek, a real class act. DW was a good performer and a great poet songwriter. Although written by Dan Flowers, William's hit of "Tulsa Time" is one of my all time favs.
