Yesterday I was on my porch when a nice Mercedes pulled up to the curb right in front of my house. The guy gets out of the car and opens the back door. He starts fumbling around inside the back and at this point I realize he only has one arm.
He pulls out a white shirt on a hangar and hangs it on the outside of the car window, then proceeds to work on removing the polo style shirt he was wearing, all with one arm.
He was shifting and squirming and using his neck and head in conjunction with his one arm. After a 4 or 5 minutes he has hit shirt completely off.
Then he turns his attention to the white button up shirt and proceeds with the shifting and squirming and head bobbing for aother good ten minutes, then he pulls out a tie that is already tied and manages to get the tie around his neck and sinched up tight all the while checking himself now and then in the door mirror.
He then folds and pins up the empty sleeve somehow using his one arm, impressive.
Then he packs it up, gets in and drives off.
Mr. One Armed Asian Guy, you are certainly a tenacious gentleman.
Just when I think I am having a bad day....
Good story.
Rock on people that persevere!
I saw Jim Abbott pitch at a Red Sox game once, makes one very humble.

So ummm, not that it matters, but did he have his hand at 10 or 2?
Was it a five speed? Oh wait, he was Asian, he only drives one speed.

This guy may not be asian, but it seems to be a link to somebody in Texas. With those skills its obvious his last name is not Turco 😛

Only for you Roadie
...nobody else quite gets my dumb jokes.
Now if they'll just drop the damn puck, life will once again be good.
Only for you Roadie
38 days and a wake-up to Boston and Philly. 40 days until Your Dallas Stars skate for real.
Browsing the schedule we have the SC Champs New Years Eve. We have made the pilgrimage down to the rink the past 4 NYE's, it is quite a time. It should be even more interesting after what happened when they met LAST YEAR. Alot of people believe that game in particular started our down hill slide into an early offseason.
We sat second row last NYE against those pesky Caknuckleheads. I may go for the glass this year.
Only for you Roadie redux
I remember reading about that game. Bad bad bad. Those pesky Beaners did show some stuff though as things went on. Personally, I was pulling for the Lightning from the East (Stevey Y is 'da man). Not to mention I absolutely dispise the Sedin twins.
Good luck to those Stars. Looking like re-structuring in 2012, so my Wings may be in the East. Pretty good trade off for the West - lose the Wings, gain the Thrashers (or Jets or....)
