Money talks, and BS walks................................

A fellow I worked with years ago used that expression frequently to express how frequently money is the primary motivating factor. He never shortened the phrase to initials as I have done here.

I don't blame him. One color jersey $25 million....different color jersey $54 million....and the weather here sucks. I'm sure it was a no-brainer once he got through the sentiment.

With the exception of their first year in OKC the Thunder have always been an elite team. I've wondered how well the city would support a mediocre team. I guess we find out now.

Well, he had to go. No brainier. It's not just $$ because he has his Nike deal. He needs to win to collect future deals and no one plants themselves in a small market forever anymore. I was surprised that the Spurs didn't make a run at him. Looked like a good fit to me.
PLUS Westbrook who IMO was the real catalyst for the Thunder will be gone next year either to Lakers, Knicks or Heat.
Westbrook is the real deal to me in the tradition of Oscar Robertson but with 3 times the speed. One of the problems with his game is that he is too fast causing TOs . His teammates can't keep his pace.
I take him over KD for a team.

I do attend some NBA games. Son likes to see the Warriors/splash bros and I like seeing Thunder/Westbrook

Looking forward to seeing the Pelicans with AD with Buddy Hield next year.

Its not about money - its about winning a championship. He gave OKC 8-9 GREAT years - just read what the organization said about him. He doesn't owe them anything more than he gave them.
