@flyin-solo Thanks I really appreciate you posting this.?ÿ I lived in Austin for 25 years (moved to Northern California in 2009) so for me the old Austin died around 2008 but I am going to play some Shaver and Jerry Jeff today for the memories....?ÿ I used to play basketball regularly with Django Walker down at Westenfield park....?ÿ Still kicking myself for not going to see Shaver in the late 90s when he was in residence at that place on the East side of South Lamar.?ÿ I see there is an In and Out on South Lamar now which tells me maybe I am not missing much...

@david-kendall

ha.?ÿ buddy of mine who used to be my tech is django's bass player.?ÿ he's been really down in the dumps this week, as you can imagine.

my wife was jerry jeff's nurse for a week or so about a year ago when he was post-op, she had no idea who he was.?ÿ i did a title on his next door neighbor's house back in march.

that in-n-out is south of the broken spoke, which is still there and just had to officially convert to a "restaurant" to open back up and stay afloat.?ÿ i actually platted the hideous condo that now surrounds it, about 10 years ago- i seem to have a bad habit of doing surveys on projects that decimate old landmarks, but i think there would have been pitchforks and torches if those cats had torn down the broken spoke.

there are in-n-outs all over now.?ÿ the one you speak of was, i think, a wendy's previously.?ÿ can't remember.?ÿ there's one about half a mile from here (the house/office) at the old morgan building lot on airport.
