This is meant strictly as an observation:

Is it wise to give political power to a person that is intoxicated with financial power?

It is not wise to post that question on this board.

Hell, it's gonna get yanked anyway.

imho, only those that ARE intoxicated with financial means are the ONLY ones that make it to a position to be elected by the populous.

Wow. Being Off Topic in the Off Topic section is really Off Topic. Guess like all Surveyors I was looking for the boundary.

Well, you have crossed the line.
Over the border.
Beyond the fence.
Wrong way, down one way street.
Wrong way in parking lot.
"Do not enter" (does not apply to me, I'm a surveyor!)
Typical Surveyor!
🙂

Don't like politics never have. However, I follow it closer than most folks specifically because I do not trust any of them. Have said for over 40 years that career politicians should be considered guilty until proven innocent. Guilty of what you ask, any danged thing that goes wrong!

Might want to also consider yourself warned.
I let it go because I figured you meant that to be a rhetorical question.
When others started replying, I thought, "uh oh! Here it goes again."
Betcha if Wendell had caught it before me and Angel, things might be different and we wouldn't be talking now.
I'd say you were definitely pushing that "boundary".

Just sayin.....

Yes the question was rhetorical. I wish we could discuss what a leader should look like without immediately putting a R or D in the equation. Future reference meant that I understood her expectations going forward. I respect the moderator's right to uphold their rules. I definitely meant no disrespect to Angel. She stated her position in a tactful non combative way. I get it.

I wish we, collectively, here on SurveyorConnect, could discuss politics like adults. But long experience has shown that it is not possible. So we have 2 choices, SurveyorConnect without P&R, or no SurveyorConnect. I prefer the former.
