Did I ever!! I sure got the pkg. I had to downsized these pics, to get them on the forum. And, I was going to ask your PERMISSION to share this, but I will take this as permission! I am so in love with salmon. I went and got all the kids after me... and they feel the same way I do... They chased me, and I shared one pkg with them. Then, saved the other.

"Go to Alaska and fish" is on my "to do before I die" list. 🙂
My dream house has a porch all around it, and an enclave at the front door. Put a double wide recliner in the enclave, and let the tricycle motors run laps around the house!! (that is my dream!)

That makes the mouth water.
One of the memories of extended Hawaiian stays was the way you smoke meat.
Ah that taste.
Probably not the normal things people remember holidays for.

Interesting about the King Salmon because
I was at one of our small family owned local seafood stores that sell local and domestic seafood and they had some fresh King Salmon slabs at $29/lb.
That's not a typo $29/lb.
It looked very nice.
I purchased a few lbs of some LA fresh jumbo white shrimp and some farm raised MS catfish filets. When I was paying, a customer did come in and purchase a couple of the King Salmon slabs. I guess it was one of those 'don't leave home without it' moments.
Out West once (Utah), I had white king Salmon at a high end fine dining restaurant. It was ok. The flesh is white. Same species but has a genetic thing that's different.

We were in Milwaukee in the summer of 2012 and the fishermen were hauling tubs of pink salmon out of Lake Michigan. We grilled out every night for two weeks and I never got tired of it. Might have had something to do with the beer, too.
