I don't know much. Mom is back in the hospital again. After surviving dual terminal cancers at the same time you would nothing could bring her down.
Well... a bowel obstruction has done so. Apparently she's been in the hospital since Sunday night and I just found out. I'm always the last to know but that's a different lengthy story for another time.
Now they are talking about more surgeries but they (my Mom & step-dad) don't know anyone in the area. When she had her major surgery it was done by a specialist and an hour and a half away.
The surgery for the pancreatic cancer was massively invasive - about cut her in half, literally. I reckon she has major scarring inside and thus may be the obstruction. My sis (Dr. Andrea) agrees 100%.
This stuff just freaks me out.
Thanks for letting bend an ear.

Eric,
These things are so gut-wrenching that I really do not know what to tell you except that your mother has a good son. I've lived long enough to lose several of my elderly loved ones. I find myself thinking of them often.
God Bless,
CV
My prayers will include you and your mom BigE
🙁 Did not like reading this. May God put his loving hands and His miracle powers into the surgeons brain and hands and embrace your mom and loved ones during this time. Hang in there E. We both have to be strong right now for obvious reasons.
My thoughts are with you, Eric. I understand completely about being the last to know. We've recently had the same thing happen to us. Maybe we can trade some karma for our family members. 🙂
Well wishes to you and your Mom.
Thanks all for the thoughts.
Don't pray for me. Forget me. Pray for Mom.
I'll call her in a couple of hours to get the full scoop.
Sis, Dr. Andrea, really didn't know much more than I initially posted.
Actually she did tell me they did put in an NG tube. (NG = nasal-gastric)
That is how she's getting some food in - a tube through the nose into the stomach.
Apparently she was throwing up violently and constantly starting Sunday afternoon.
The dumbass ER people thought she had the flu until some genius thought to look at her background and realized they were dealing with way more than that. After 3 hours they finally got serious and she was admitted immediately.
I'll post more when I know more but that's it for now.

Eric, spend as much time as you can with her, no matter how much it "inconveniences" you.
I can't. But I do talk to her often. That's the best I can do for now.
