What have I done???!!!!
All of a sudden my new messages and reply formats are nothing like they were early this morning. I can't find anywhere to change it or restore it either
It's putting stuff up double spaced and some big a$$ font.
Help!
Change to gmail or if you insist on using a separate email managing program download Thunderbird. It's free and just plain better. I use gmail for everything.

I've been using gmail for many years, 10+ already, and been using MS Outlook to connect to it for almost as many years so I ain't changing to Thunderbird.
To each his own. We have some hold outs here also. It has been my experience that Outlook works great when it works, but if something goes south it goes out with a bang.
I have never ever had problems with Outlook.
I've clearly done something inadvertently.
The question is what exactly?
I just noticed, you're right up the road from me. I imagine you know Steve P. up there. Is he still around?
Only met him once, but heard a lot about him from the local surveying folks. (Not in a bad way mind you....lets not take that out of context). Last I heard he was working for Georgia Power in some construction support role verifying sub-contractors control, layout and such. It has been awhile.
A few things to check. I'm using 2007, so where to find stuff may be different.
Go to Tools, Options.
Select the Preferences tab. Under E-mail, open E-mail Options. In Message handling, make sure the "Remove extra line breaks in ..." is checked on. Okay the E-mail options dialog.
Now switch to the Mail Format tab. What's Message Format set to? (I'm using Rich Text). Under Stationery and Fonts, click that tab. Select Personal Stationery tab. If you're using a Theme, check it (I'm not). Otherwise, click the Font buttons for the New / Replying or forwarding messages and see what the font and font sizes are. Also check Composing and reading plain text messages.
My system is using 11 for the first two and 10.5 for plain text.
If none of this helps, post which version so I or someone else can see how strong our Google Fu is today!

I tried searching anyway and a site suggested this (on XP):
Click Start, Run. In that box, type
%appdata%Microsofttemplates
This will open an Explorer window showing your Microsoft template files. Try renaming NormalEmail.dotm file. Close Outlook and re-open.

I got it straightened out finally. Don't really know the final thing that made the difference. Thanks for looking.
