Went to the first movie in over a year. I'm not a big movie goer, but I have to say it was really nice to go again. Movie was a disappointment but had a great time anyway, dinner and a movie!!!!
I'm taking my grandsons next Tuesday to see Godzilla v. Kong.?ÿ The choice wasn't mine...
But I expect to be dazzled with the FX.?ÿ The last Godzilla movie I saw included effects like a grown man in a rubber Godzilla suit stomping on model-train sized stick buildings meant to be Tokyo.?ÿ Hopefully the movie industry has moved past that.
It's really the camaraderie I'm after.?ÿ I'd even enjoy watching an old Gidget Gets a Hickey beach movie as long as I get to hang out with the grandkids.?ÿ ?ÿ
I really enjoy going to the movies, whether with others or by myself.?ÿ Have not done so in over a year.?ÿ Probably should get started again.?ÿ There should be no trouble maintaining very adequate social distancing by going to the less popular show times.
Last movie I saw in a Movie Theater (aka: place where people test screen brightness on smart phones) was ET. I don??t think cell phones had been invented yet, but unruly teenagers had. I rarely watch movies even on TV. I actually have more fun reading the book. If that??s being a weirdo it don??t bother me. ?????ÿ

The other evening my wife saw that the movie "The Bible" was coming on.?ÿ She asked if I wanted to watch it.?ÿ I told her I didn't care to watch it because I read the book...
I always try to find a good time to slip out mid-movie to go into the men's room to look in the mirror to find out how much popcorn missed my mouth and landed in my beard. ???? ???? ???? ???? ?????ÿ
I am a BIG movie goer and miss them terrible. Can't wait to go back. At one point I had so many Regal rewards points that I was going to start losing them if I didn't use some.
I watch a lot of movies because I can't stand commercials. Same with my music. I'd rather listen to my iPod or SiriusXM because the commercials are limited or non-existent.

Movies were really good back in the day at the Miner Theater down Cedar Street from MVHS.?ÿ They started with a cartoon and had another cartoon after the main feature.?ÿ Got you there early and kept you around longer so they might be able to sell you more popcorn, pop and candy.?ÿ That was, and still is, the big moneymaker that keeps cinemas in business.
First building on the left is Miner Theater, then Barnes and Weast John Deere then Western Auto.
The first movie I ever saw at a movie theater was in that theater. My brother and I saw the original Flubber.
