Fine . . . but
It's true that the high of being in love does release dopamine.
"It causes your system to be flooded with dopamine.
When the high wears off it is very bad."
read the second part again . . .
. . . been there
Fine . . . but
As I understand it, Meth squeezes out every last drop of dopamine in your system. The high is incredible and the low is extremely bad, that is why it is almost impossible for addicts to kick the habit.
No natural release such as being in love does that.
? Love ?
> No natural release such as being in love does that.
I sure hope not. The broken heart I had was enough to kill me 3x over!! :-O
But...I did recover and was able to fully love again...and will always choose love over anything. But that is the romantic, passionate person in me I suppose. :-$
My Awakening
Sad. Very sad.
My Awakening
First off, William, it is sad. Yeah. It is sad. But at least I am not in the dark any more. I am aware. And, yeah, pain comes with it.
I am determined now more than ever to keep teaching my kids. They are getting all I know about it. that it is like cheating on feeling good. And, that it postpones dealing with reality. My kids really do pray for the dopers now, with all their hearts. In the truest sense, we are not "Better" than they are, in the sense that except for the grace of God, we would have gone there.
So they are getting life's lessons all rolled up in short times now. they are now also able to recognize meth heads.
It grieves them. But, the world needs sane hard working people.

My Awakening
".. the world needs sane hard working people."
It needs all of us, Nate, or it wouldn't be a world.:-)
Don
? Love ?
So, a person who continuously falls in love and gets married is not an optimist, he's really(probably), more like a druggee . . .
. . . s much for romance
My Awakening
Well, Don, I guess it needs honest folks. All the time.
I have learned more about this stuff, now.
Folks that get on meth, often have ANGER issues for life.
Irritated
Frustrated
Aggravated
In last weeks paper, my small home town, were 3 articles.
Front Page:
1.) 8 Kids with meth, and loads of stolen stuff,
2.) a local cop's kid, killed a 2 yr old kid, while he was (Apparently) dealing with meth induced anger issues.
3.) A smash and dash, at the local Radio Shack. Smashed a window, with a rock, came in, grabbed an armload of stuff, and was out in less than a minute. They left the rock behind!
This is our little population of around 2000 small town.
What I am saying is meth is something we all are going to be dealing with for a long time.
I have also developed another idea: "Did you talk to him, or his meth?" ie, did you talk with him when he was high, or when he was off the dope?
I sure wish we did not have yet another equation like this. (Meth)
Life is complex enough.
But we have loads to learn, so we can raise sane families.
