There used to be a show that performed similarly inappropriate jokes and pranks. It was appropriately titled "Jackass".
Economic downturns do not literally kill people in a couple of weeks. One can recover from an economic downturn only if they are alive, so no, extended lockdowns are not "just as deadly" as the virus. (Especially when they are not really being enforced...)
It may be an "absurdity" for some, but for others who have pre-existing medical conditions which give them a very low possibility of survival should they contract the virus, it's not absurd at all. I have been in excellent health all my life, as a distance runner, hiker, cyclist, etc. But I had a spontaneous lung collapse about a month ago which, at least for a while, puts me in the latter camp. My GF has type 1 diabetes, so she is in that group as well. If either of us contract the virus, we have a greatly increased chance of severe symptoms and permanent damage or death.
I wore PPE and practiced social distancing when I absolutely had to go out of the home both before and after the lung collapse. Just because I would have been OK, if I had transmitted it to someone with a medical condition because I was acting carelessly, that would be on me.

On a comedy skit, it is absolutely funny. In real life, when you don't know someone, and they might have a health problem you don't know about, it's a jerk move.

exactly right!?ÿ ?ÿI'm finishing up chemo this week and have been very serious about staying home.?ÿ ?ÿSo maybe the OP can imagine that lady has someone at risk at home that she has to care for.?ÿ He just made her life miserable with more worry so that he could post something that he thought would get a laugh.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿthe lack of empathy is disgusting.
