Just realized I was Near 1000 posts and figured I should get around to posting about our most recent vacation for the big 1k.
Around the first part of October the wife and I ventured east for our first visit over the atlantic, with our 4 1/2yo little girl in tow. We visited Ireland for 12 days, stuck to the lower half, and after it was all said and done we still feel like we missed so much. We accumulated a mind numbing 1200 photos and after going through them once, I was still at about 1000. Each one of them tells a story about a piece of our journey. Rather than make a feeble attempt to regurgitate the trip details and photos herein, I am linking to my wife's blog that has covered just a portion of the trip so far.
In General, We flew into Dublin arriving early morning then headed to Kilkenny for two nights, then onto Dingle for Three nights, Up to Galway for Three Nights, then back to Dublin for the remaining 4. What an adventure! I can't wait to go back, and I'd recommend this trip to anyone.
Great pics
And I enjoy the descriptions that went along. I'm jealous, I've never been across the pond. My wife and both children have but not me.

That's great Jered! You finally made it. I recognize the beach at Ventry and a little farther along the peninsula, where the beehive huts are, is where we met one of Maureen's distance kin by happenstance, Mary Houlihan.
Post more photos, please. And stories, tell us stories.
Nice pics!! 😀
The water looks warm in some of those pics. Like Hawaii water. :drink:
That buncha asses pic cracked me up. 😛 B-)
I hope Ashlyn gets her little Minimus back somehow... :'(
Great pictures!
You are so lucky to have been able to make the trip. Don't let it be your last time across the pond. To be able to go to those places and see and feel that history is a life changing event. You will never be the same again and your child has had an experience that she will cherish always.
To any of you that have never been able to make such a trip, start a savings account now!! Seriously. A trip to Europe is something that everyone should have on their bucket list. The UK is awesome. Germany is a real treat!! Doesn't really matter where you go, just GO and see and feel the history. (Yes you really can feel it.) And the interesting people that you will meet. In Germany I met some of the nicest and hospitable folks I have ever known. Treat them with respect in their country and they will treat you like a King.
Check out the tour companies. There are tours that put you on river boats along the rivers of central europe that are really nice and not as expensive as you may think. Some even include air fare. You don't have to have an "elegant" cabin. Get one with a view and a loo and enjoy the free food and the sights.
It will be the best money you ever spent.
