29.65 inches of mercury when I woke up this morning. I've seen it lower, but not by much. It is quite a tropical depression that is rolling over us as I speak.
Tropical cyclones tend to dissipate over land. They get their strength from the warm and humid conditions over warm water usually. As predicted, the remnants of TS Bill actually intensified as it moved inland, due to the high humidity still in place at the surface from all the rain in the last two to three weeks. Winds near the center of the storm went from around 35 mph to almost 50 mph overnight. It does appear as though it will weaken as the sun rises.
I've had about 5.5 inches of rain since sundown yesterday. I don't know where it is all going to...everything is full. I'm sure there's a mess of lowland flooding. What a mess. It's June for Chrissake...enough!
My wife and daughter are in Davis, OK attending church camp. 6000 kids. Now comes this storm. Kids are on highest ground. River is flooding. Bus floated away and she is a little bit nervous as it is still raining.
It's all my fault. I'm the one that started a thread about whining about rain in June.

I saw some video from Falls Creek this morning. A whole lotta water rolling through there. On a good note, everybody is apparently safe and accounted for.:good:

It looked like this maelstrom made it up to your neck of the woods. How much rain have you had up there?
My rain gauge has a crack in it, but it's overflowing anyway.o.O
To tell the truth, I've been in the gray, then green but just now getting into the yellow. No red in sight. Fortunately, I had scheduled today to be a non-field work day anyway. Have a school board-related meeting between 10:30 and 2:30. Those guys really know how to screw up a work day.
