Looking for a field procedure handout for Astro Azimuth observation. I could have sworn I had one that was published by the BLM or maybe the Army ..but apparently not.?ÿ If anyone has one they would be willing share I would be appreciative.?ÿ

Solar, Polaris, other, or all of the above?

The older editions (through 11th) of Wolf & Ghilani Elementary Surveying have a chapter on astro that might help. The 12th edition moved it to an appendix of half the length.

Then there is this pamphlet from Ghilani.?ÿ The link is only http, not https, so you will get a warning.

@bill93 I have that same pamphlet and it is good. In particular, I am looking for Polaris observation. I have that last print version of Dr. Elgin's Sokkia book, but I can swear there is an Army or BLM pdf out there that takes you step by step with 8.5x11 forms you can hand out.?ÿ?ÿ

@brad-ott?ÿ Oh I wish...No just trying to not re-create the wheel. Us private sector folks - always looking to make things more efficient. I still can't seem to shake that.?ÿ
