The gun Texan surveyor KENT goes to Australia on vacation to SOZ.

There he meets up again with RADU, (also a mean surveyor) and gets to talking. RADU shows off his client's big wheat field and KENTsays, "Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice that size!"

They walk further around the the farmers's property that RADU is surveying and RADU proudly shows off his client's herd of cattle. KENT immediately replied, "We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows." The conversation immediately went flat , bleeding friends mused RADU? Well until KENT saw a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field, to which the startled KENT blurted out "What the, are those?"

RADU replied with only his incredulous look,"Don't you have any grasshoppers in Texas?"....

That's funny Radu. And not an exaggeration. A friend of mine was a fishing guide up in Alaska working for an outfit that catered to a higher end clientele from all over the world. He said the Texans always had to grouse about how much bigger things were in Texas. “Hell these salmon ain’t near as big as some of the catfish we have in Texas.” “Those grizzly bears are just little bity fellows compared to some of our longhorns” and on and on about the size of things in one of the wildest, most beautiful untrammeled wildernesses you could ever imagine seeing. At the end of the trip, after he got his tip, he’d crack

“Well, you boys have told me for the last 4 days how much bigger everything is in Texas, so I just want to remind you that if Alaska decides to split into two states, that will make Texas the THIRD largest state in the union.”

Y'all have probably heard the one about the guy from Ky. talking to the rancher from Texas. Texan goes on and on about how his ranch is so big it takes him a couple of days to drive around it in his pickup. Guy from Ky. tells him "Yeah, I used to have a truck like that".

Ripper RADU. (For the uninitiated that means a really great yarn)
And the one about the truck. Takes the cake.
Excellent.
