The tax map for the area is at http://www.skagitcounty.net/apps/gis/pdf/203304.pdf . The properties are in the far NW corner of the map. Survey of property filed in 2001 here:
The property is at 48-20-17.3N, 122-20-01.7W. Viewing it in Google Earth you can see that the mowing doesn't go all the way to the drainage ditch. Calling the mowed area a "lawn" is probably a stretch. The Fiorito property is completely undeveloped and unoccupied.
This case doesn't expressly state it, but it is typical for the standard for notorious-ness of the possession to go up when the owner of the disputed parcel is an absentee. The Oregon case of Reeves v. Porta (1941)does address that idea.
