I did the 4 day Inca Trail hike recently. Very hard for a 59 year old, especially on the knees on the descents!

This is at Dead Womans Pass, highest point on the trail on the second day. 4215 meters elevation

I learned a new term: "Inca Flat"...not really flat, up and down and up and down but not extreme

That is awesome. I sure hope to make that trek some day, before I become to old and fat!

Did you give yourself plenty of time to get acclimated to the altitude??ÿ

We spent two days in Cusco before starting the hike. Didn't have major problems with altitude, I am sure the coca leaves helped.?ÿ
