....Special, that is. I never knew much about him; I believe he lives in Northern CA; I know he is married to Somebody Special. I recall that he had a sensible head on his shoulders (those of us without it can sometimes recognize it in others). I seem to remember that he had a rational, not too partisan, approach to living and I miss his comments. I'd like to hear from him again.

I heard from him a month or so ago. He was kind enough to refer a client who has a project in my backyard. The job is too small for him to justify the trip out of the hills, so he pushed it my way. I hope I can return the favor someday.

I don't know a lot about his past in Florida, but I gather he ran a big operation there. He's been on the west coast for quite a few years now, and operates on a much smaller scale these days.

I have to agree. I really liked his posts. Did he stick with RPLS or quit posting?

There's little resemblance between NS and NN, and I can say that even though I've never met NS in person. I've worked with NN; he was an unusual character in the 1980s, and appears to have gotten even further from the mean in the intervening years.
Agree with Beer Legs....you can often find him in the POB Lounge, sparring with the rest of them.
