The fuser on my excellent but expensive high-volume HP2840 printer went out on Monday. Ordering supplies from HP is very easy and painless. Ordering parts from the HP parts store is impossible. The search would not recognize a fuser for that printer, so I went on LiveChat, and eventually the lady found the part number and said it was available. I did a cut and paste, and the parts store said no such part. Eventually I realized I had to manually remove the alpha prefix, then it worked. $310 plus I paid for expedited delivery. Today I did a cut and paste of the order number and it wouldn't recognize it, so back to LiveChat. Eventually the lady found the order, and it had not been shipped. Well, so glad I paid for expedited shipping. She offered to remove the fee, and passed me along to someone higher up to find out why it had not shipped. That person said, yes, it had been shipped, and might be here tomorrow, which is beyond 1-2 days, obviously. I can't wait to get their customer satisfaction survey. The "name" of the first person was Anubis and the "name" of the second person was Chantal. Ha, I bet.
Anubis. Really?
Anubis (/??nu?b?s/ or /??nju?b?s/;[2] Ancient Greek: ???????) is the Greek name[3] for a jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife in ancient Egyptian religion
Anubis and the "name" of the second person was Chantal. Ha, I bet.
Bruce, I'm doing my best to not cynically smiling laugh, but at the same time empathizing with your dilemma.
I have no reason why any computer anystore calls it "tech support". Personally, when I call them I know more about it than them. Frustrating, yes. Paper trail, yes. So you move above.
Maybe Chantel is the key, since Anubis is a goofy bashtard. I'd say the next step may include.... oh boy, I better not speak my mind because it may be non PC. But I'll just go with Habib as Chantel's boss. Or go up from there.
Yikes. Good luck. Enjoy the sun, the monsoons are coming....
I seriously considered posting a video on You Tube of my last two HP printers being used for target practice with my handguns... never again. The Epson has been working like a champ.
I called today to ask about delivery, and off to India I went. The lady eventually tracked it down and told me it would arrive tomorrow. Wrong again, it arrived three hours later.
