Vintage Electrical or Plumbing Surveyor Tape Snake Tool Fish Unusual
"I was told that it was used for rewiring or possibly used by plumbers."
😀
That guy doesn't know what he's talking about...obviously it's a vintage Bat-Belt tool used to hoist yourself to safety, with the pop-out handle.
Jeez, I've got a few of those laying around. Never considered using one as snake though...
I have a few "off the reel" too...

Wrong...it's a vintage children's game. One kid holds the end of the steel ribbon and the other tries to throw the reel over a live power line. It's a cheap knock-off though, the original was made by Maimway Toys and marketed as the "Johnny Junior X-ray Kit"

Its a pretty accurate description, its for the surveyor who can't make a living surveying, but also does a little plumbing on the side.
Wow Here's a tool everybody needs
I have used one of those, for more than my fair share.

Anybody still have repair kits? looks like it's broke probably in the first foot, I'm guessing it's a 200' tape.
