Congratulations on your 'do-over'. My dad died of a heart attack in '96. I'm sure I will be right behind him unless I get serious about exercise and diet.
One problem I have seen with people quitting smoking, is that sometimes they get all the way off of cigarettes and decide that now that they know they can quit, they start back in again. It's the strangest thing. I quit in 1989 and never even get close to one. I thought it was so difficult quitting I didn't ever want to go through that again.
Glad you made it through and good luck with quitting the smokes.
I'm glad you recognized it as something serious and got it taken care of in time. Rst easy & listen to your docs. Don't go back to work before getting a clean bill of health.
Years & years of construction staking will do that to you. Trying to find the error in the plans over the hood of the truck while the contractors and superintendents hollering and claiming you're holding up their crews; foremen checking your progress every few minutes; everybody pointing the finger at the surveyor when someting goes wrong; wasting time showing why it wasn't a survey problem; arguing about backcharges; arguing about extras...
When you go back to work, maybe you should do something less stressful, like ALTAs.
Make the best of your do-over!

Instant wisdom. Things a lot of us need to give more consideration to before we get the same wake up call.
Hang in there Roadie this place would not be the same without you!
