Of course I was just pulling snoops leg, all in the name of illustrating the absurdity of black history month.
My view runs along these boundary lines..Morgan Freeman on Race
..and groundhogs day too! I encourage us all to nominate Denise Milani to be the official spokeperson of ALL history months, holidays, and everyday that ends in Y.
You can never have too much Denise, well maybe in a sense =)

I'm sensing the theme of this photo is "Things that are round"
Or maybe
"Things that are round and artificially inflated"
This should be entitled "the simple majestic beauty of the parabolic curve".
I can see math and science courses being over run with new students...
banneker museum is where i will go for my moment of reflection. great place
this almanac was recently recalculated by a nasa astrophysicist. banneker only missed an eclipse prediction in that year's almanac by something to the order of six minutes (time). he couldn't get a clock for his astro observations, so he made one himself, with a second grade education.
he's mighty high on my hero list, and he's local, too
Let's all remember Navine during this month:
Is there going to be a formal dance?
Or should I just buy some Ripple and a fiddy.
All kidding aside, I don't agree with the celebration of "Black History Month".
They are Americans, and need to be celebrated as such, the same as the rest of us.
So, when they create an "American History Month" that celebrates the accomplishments of ALL AMERICANS, regardless of race, creed, or color, I'm all in.
Where are Caucasian history, Asian history, Amerind history and Indian Sub-Cont history months?
🙁 :rain:
Oh Tay!

I liked his dogs name!! But I must refrain from posting it here due to obvious reasons. 😉 😛
Buckwheat!! Loved Loved LOVED him!!!
My favorite baseball player EVER just so happens to be black. He's freaking awesome!!!! I was lucky enough to score a few autographs off of him in my 80's days.
I never think of him as that "black baseball player". I just think of him as #1, The Wizard. 🙂
