It is rare that I would recomend a movie, on a public forum, but I have a recomendation. "The Straight Story". The Straight Story chronicles a trip made by 73-year-old Alvin Straight from Laurens, Iowa, to Mt. Zion, Wis., in 1994 while riding a lawn mower. To see his older brother, whom he had had an argument with, and had not spoken to in 10 yrs.
This is about 340 miles, and took about 6 wks. The movie is well done, and based on a true story. Even the musical score is well done.

PS, here is the movie trailer, from youtube:
Sounds worth checking out.
So, why did he ride a lawn mower such a distance? Was he making a statement? Did he not have a drivers license? Paid endorsement from manufacturer?
My recent rec.: Cedar Rapids. Extremely funny low key comedy-drama.
And if you have 10 to 12 year old kids; Green Hornet.

He had poor eyes, and had no drivers liscence. He was stubbron, and had to do it his way. Sounds like some surveyors!

I saw this many years ago. It was well recieved for a "small" film as they say.:good:
A big departure for the director David Lynch also.
Richard Farsworth was very good just as he was in The Natural with Wiford Brimley and the Roberts (Redford, Proskey and Duvall)
Nate,
I saw this some time ago. I really enjoyed it and would also reccomend it to all.

"Unthinkable" will make you think.
