The Arkansas rivers are a fun float or rapids adventure depending upon the river. Proper foot ware is one key for comfort, find a good shoe that keep out those pesky small rocks. The old 3 stripe track shoe was perfect for that. I have even worn jungle combat boots on occasion just because.

Speaking of rafting...
Here is some video I took of our work last week doing sections on the Black Fork in WV. This was when the water level was LOW, there have been a lot of days this year that we couldn't get it due to high water. Even at the low level there were places it was really tough to stand, or to keep the boat on line. We couldn't use a regular boat because some areas are only shin deep.
We still have 12 sections to do on the Cheat River, just waiting for the water to come down some.
In February, before we had the boat, I was the one in the water:

we have had to request a time extension for the project several times now. We only need two more days to finsh.
