I've done this a time or two. ???????????
?ÿ
LOL.?ÿ Did that a couple of days ago.?ÿ Was busy thinking about something else and drove past the intersection where I needed to turn.?ÿ It was colder than cold and the wind was blowing hard.?ÿ There was no other traffic in sight on that State Highway, so I put it in Reverse and backed the nearly half mile to the corner at 45 mph, stopped and made my turn.

Only in Kansas...
Well, maybe Nebraska, too
@dougie?ÿ
I am really good at backing up.?ÿ Have practiced frequently over the years, especially while surveying.?ÿ No need to look for good places to turn around.?ÿ Just back up.
In what Paden refers to as Baja Oklahoma there are times when you could back up at 60 mph, barely move the steering wheel and encounter no traffic on the main highway for the area.?ÿ For 20 miles.?ÿ On Highway 412/64, from just west of the intersection with Highway 95 near Eva to just east of the intersection with Highway 56 midway between Boise City and Keyes.?ÿ That is 25 miles with no curve other than the curvature of the Earth.
Right @paden-cash ?
In Orlando ya need to git in your "exit" lane at least 3 miles before or you'll end up in a Disney parking lot. ?????ÿ
How do you pronounce Keyes?
There was a Surveyor in Yelm with that name...
Was it an East/West Highway ??? ?????ÿ
?ÿ
@dougie?ÿ
East-West road.
Keyes: just like your car keys.?ÿ One syllable for most people.?ÿ Then there are people who can turn $#it into a three-syllable word.

When my Sister and Mother (still living in NY) visited my brother in NC, he asked if they wanted to go to lunch, she said "what's that?" he said you know the mid day meal, she replied, Oh back in NY we only pronounce it with one U.
I wish some people would go that extra mile, had one tears ago on US 6 at the Hyannis exit zip ALL THE WAY ACROSS ALL SIX LANES at the last second.
That happened to us once on an unfamiliar interstate.?ÿ I had printed out directions from some routing application (before having it in a phone) and it said exit left.?ÿ We got there and it was exit right. Just made it and fortunately didn't cut anybody off.
@bill93?ÿ
Bill my attitude has always been, I'll get there when I get there, not to say that I haven't done that, just seems to make no sense to put myself, my passengers and any one in other vehicles in unnecessary danger. I'll drive to the next exit and come back.
