As I say about my neighbors 14 yr old lab..." the world needs more people like Bud...". He can't hear and his eyes are goofy, but he sure loves the scraps of meat his dad lets me give him regularly. He still barks at crows or if somebody is walking by.
I'd say the world needs more people like ole Kora too. We have a very active K-9 department locally, and I think that's great. They get more positive press and seem to solve more things than the dopey cops who handle them.
There is a power point somewhere on my computer about all the retired NYC 911 search & rescue dogs. Pretty impressive bunch, they were. World needs more people like them too.

Yeah, our yellow lab is going on 12 and is slowing down, slipping on the floor, etc. I dread the day. He is a big part of our family...
First I would like to say I love animals dogs, cats, pets, all of them..... But after having a pet for a number of years they become more like family than pets. I always feel like I owe it to them to do myself, and it is not easy to do or even write about. I cannot belive these dayum yellow belly cops can't do their own dog?!?! she is a fallen soldier on the battlefield that is not going to make it home, skin that smoke wagon and let fly. Godspeed
