Believe me, this is really cold for southern Arizona. The all-time February low is 17.
I don't expect any sympathy, though!
Cold as a titches wit here. And currently reported to be a balmy 15°F or -9.4°C

You're not getting any either!! I'm in Northern AZ. It was -1° this morning and just topped out at 10°. The forecast 48 mph gusts tonight will be fun...
I hear you Jim. I Brrrrrveyed out of Flagstaff for 5 years and when that dry crisp sub-freezing air gets moving with a breeze, it cuts through anything right to the bone. I grew up in Michigan, but for some reason those type of days in the field in Flag were some of the coldest i can remember.
I say UNCLE
I don't know how much more of this 78° I can take...
😉

I miss Southeastern AZ. View from my patio.
Somewhere under that is our drive with banks on both sides
Talk about cold. We are at the daily high now at 14, feeling like -1. Wouldn't have been so bad except for getting the 4WD pickup stuck--twice. The first time took about 20 minutes of shoveling and burning rubber. The second time took over an hour, but, only a couple of minutes once I called the nearest neighbor with a BIG tractor to drag me back out onto the road.
Snow drifts are mostly about 4' deep on the county roads. Most roads are blocked. The only reason we were able to get to the spot where we got stuck the second time was because of a fellow using his skid steer to dig through all the drifts between his house and the section corner so that he could get to his primary job.
Schools for many miles around closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Nearly all the same ones have already announced they will be closed Thursday as well. Most courthouses have closed down. All sorts of businesses have closed. Even the Area DOT office has told non-essential employees to stay home. The prevailing thought is that most everyone should stay home until the vast majority of roads are opened. Stupid people, like me, will attempt to do what they can to care for others. In my case, there will be some hungry livestock if we can't get them more feed tomorrow. Fortunately, water isn't a problem.
Climate changers saying global warming here suppose
climate changers are saying global cooling in US.
I say good old mother nature is just fooling with us all!

I won't hurt your guys feelings by telling you what the weather is here for the rest of the week. But I'll confess I did buy my first ever snorkeling gear today to enjoy the weathers effect on the water. (It's an experiment ya know...) :bye:
