Streaming video of an eagle's nest. Apparently, there are eggs in the nest expected to hatch sometime around April 1st.

Yeah, that's pretty neat. Thanks for sharing.
I never saw one in the wild until about 5 years ago...now we see a bald eagle at least once a month by the Susquehanna River. Suckers are huge!

I was on one of the hiking trails at Effigy Mounds (eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River) coming up to one of the scenic overlook areas when a bald eagle swooped down out of a tree maybe 50 feet in front of me and then went out over the river. I had a camera in my hands at the time, but was so stunned that I didn't even think to take a picture.

We also see them now and then over the Des Moines or Raccoon Rivers in and near Des Moines.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for sharing. I checked in on the stream last night about 10 p.m. and saw that there are three eggs in the nest.

Thanks for the interesting post. I have a problem with my computer when I go from the normal view size to the full screen view. I just got a 20" flat screen monitor. When I switch to full screen mode by clicking the box on the lower right of the image, all I get is a white screen. On my laptop screen it works fine. This my first experience with a flat screen monitor. The old CRT sent up smoke signals last weekend. The new monitor is an HP 2031. Another problem is that text is blurry. I called the store about it and they said to bring it back and they would replace it except they are currently out of stock until thursday.
