I can't find anything on the interweb so I thought I would ask my pals here.
I have a DVD player in my 06 Ford.
When I burn movies to disc they will play in my home DVD player but not in my car.
Snoop Jr needs his Curious George and Monster Trucks while on the road.
Any ideas?
I may be wrong, but all DVD players are not created equal. The DVD player in the 06 Ford, may not have the correct "software or codec" to decompress the data, on the DVD. All my IT team (kids) are unavailable.
Try changing the type of dvd you are using. Some will only read +r or -r disks, and some dvd players seem to like certain brands of disk better.
It could be an incompatable disc, or an incompatable DVD, or it could be that you didn't "finalize" the disc. If you don't "finalize" the disk it will play on the DVD where it was recorded, but no other.
Put both in your computer and check the type of file
some are PAL and others are NTSC. Then there are the many mobile devices.
I've been using DVDFab6 and it has many options when copying dvds to mobile devices.
Yes, all DVD players are NOT created equal.
Ask someone else to record the show and see if that works?
(If so, your recorder may not be compatible with the player.)
THANKS GUYS
I'M USING DVD+R
I'LL TRY DVD-R
Doug's suggestion of the codec is a possibility, but so is the suggestion of the type of media you are using. Not only is the DVD-R or +R a possibility, but so is the brand of blanks as Bruce alluded to. I would place my bet on the the format (-R or +R).
