Close as I can get to relating to that:
I was helping a neighbor "cut" his recent crop of little piggies. My job was to hold the farrowing crate closed with my foot (to keep 300 lb. mommy at bay) while he committed his dastardly deeds on her male offspring.
The first squeel momma shoved me and the gate open...chased us both up on top of the pickup. Momma was pissed and wanted OUR 'stuff'..
I can only imagine what a momma bear would do if she thought her cubs were in danger...perish the thought..
