Here in a bit they need to exit onto 34 West for a few miles until intersecting 75 North.?ÿ A few more miles north of 75 and they will be in Bellevue.?ÿ That is the goal, right??ÿ To get to Bellevue??ÿ Home of Offut Air Force Base.?ÿ A little south of Omaha.?ÿ Cousin and her family lived there while her hubby was stationed there.

The range of elevations they will encounter on this journey would make a neat graph.

Bellevue

Yeah, like so many names in this country you can take your pick, in this case the link says from 25 of them.

https://geotargit.com/called.php?qcity=bellevue

Not quite as many as Springfield with 34 listed.?ÿ And Iowa once had a Springfield but it's totally gone.

Angel is ... exhausted.

We're stopping in counselor bluffs. My daughter's cats were flipping out so we had to pull over in Missouri somewhere. They're ok now.

Kansas City is.... HUGE. Goodness gracious! It took us an hour to cross it! ????

We're coming back this September... there's too much we're missing that we want to see. ƒ?§‹?

Will update when we get settled in for the night.?ÿ

We did manage to be within 1 mile of Oregon. ????????????

Pisgah?

We've been through there.?ÿ The Loess Hills Overlook area not far from there has soil and scenery that is unique in this country.?ÿ Might be a little hard to visit with snow on.

counselor bluffs

LOL

This is where the Transcontinental Railroad started...(Counsil Bluffs)

You should check out the Black Angel Statue, 623 N 2nd St, Council Bluffs, IA 51503

Pretty cool...

Another fast food that's good is Taco Johns!

They used to be all over, now it's down to 3 in Omaha...

Is that anything like Mighty Taco in Buffalo? The locals say it's delicious, I say it's absolutely horrendous. ????

@noodles?ÿ

Had you taken the exit and driven south towards Oregon, you could have seen the 40th Parallel and the State Line between Nebraska and Kansas.?ÿ It's easy to pick out.?ÿ It's the wide, black line that looks almost straight with a mild curve to the right in it.

I wonder if that's the same one that cuts through Oregon? My Oregon, that is...I see a sign that says something like that when I drive up I-5. ƒ?§‹?

45th Parallel (halfway between equator and north pole) runs through Salem.
