Country western music can be awful on the radio and so good in the bar.?ÿ
A good country band in a honkytonk dance bar,,,,,,,can't beat that!!!
I was in NC visiting my son, he was busy for the evening so I go to a country bar for a couple of drinks, my kinda place. They had a band playing that I'd heard in Montana before, really good, from Nashville if I remember. Big dance floor and everything, a college town. All the young people were standing on the dance floor watching the band like it was a concert, no one was dancing. As I got there the band did a couple of songs and the drummer wondered to the bar next to me so I chatted with him a bit, asked why no one dances, they couldn't figure it out either. They just figured no one knows how. Told him where I saw them before and he commented that he wished they were there that night.?ÿ
Those guys were really good, pity nobody knew what to do. Out west the dance floor would have been packed.?ÿ
This "Country Music" episode 1 made my day.?ÿ "It's White Man's soul music"
I never realized that Jimmie Rodgers was so heavily influenced by the blues but now considering what music was popular before he came along, it makes since....
I had heard about it from a few people but didn't realize you could stream it online for free.?ÿ Thank you
I have wanted to watch the Ken Burns "Baseball" series since I was a kid, I'm hoping I can find that on there as well

David - I went to the PBS site and it looks like you can buy "Baseball", but they aren't streaming it. However, in my searching I found where a website called Daily Motion has a contributor by the name of "HipsterStalin" who has uploaded a bunch of the episodes. If you go to the following link you can find them along with HipsterStalins other uploads. I have no idea if it's legit or a portal to KGB developed ransomware. Let the clicker beware and good luck to you lad:
