Anybody drive one of these? 1962 Galaxie 500 Country Squire. Would make a great city survey rig. It now has a good home.
Wouldn't have been allowed at our place in 1962. It's one of those Fix Or Repair Daily things.
I like the looks of the old Jeep in the background. My mother had an old Ford wagon similar to the Country Squire, but it didn't have the wood grain sides.

It's my son's first truck, he bought it a couple weeks ago with money he earned auctioning off livestock at the county fair. He is graduating from Grade school this week and he is finally getting into learning to work on trucks. Yesterday he replaced the lower radiator hose, filled the radiator, and replaced the ignition switch.
It's a 1970 Jeep Gladiator 4x4. It's got a Buick 350 v8 mated to a TH400 tranny. 44's front and rear (posi.). Half ton. Power steering. It appears someone added turn signals (I thought that was odd for 1970). It has a freshly rebuilt engine in it and has only been used to pull a horse trailer. I don't think they ever used the truck to haul anything but saddles and gear. It runs and drives really good (lots of torque). The only problem is it has a sticky lifter from sitting so long. Not sure what kind of additive works best for that.

good looking kid and truck!
Thanks!
Sticky Valves
We always used Marvel Mystery Oil. Seems to free them up better than anything else.
Pukey turbo 400 Tranny
Thanks, I bought a product called "Sea Foam" Not familiar with the product, but apparently it has been around awhile.
Also found out today that the transmission is puking ATF out the fill tube. It was 4 quarts low when we got it running. It has a Turbo 400 tranny. I'm going to start with the vent hose and the vac. hose to see they they working properly. Also see that the o-ring is good on the fill tube and it is bolted tight.
The fluid does not look burned and the tranny was shifting fine.
Any ideas? It has been sitting for a long time without being ran.
