Kinda surprised nobody back East posted about yesterdays demise of Steelers old coach Chuck Noll. He led them to 4 Super Bowls back in the day.

82 is getting up there, so I guess the big guy pulled his plug for "natural causes". Whatever those are.

I'm sure the city of Pittsburgh is saddened, as is the football fan community at large.

I am not in town (Pittsburgh), but I do read the paper online when I am on the road. Front page news in Saturday's paper, with a long write-up. He was not a visible presence after he retired, but apparently he maintained a condo in Pittsburgh (Sewickley) and a place in Florida. He showed up sometimes at special events to be honored, etc. He was in the local condo when he died, just went to sleep and passed away. That is how I want to go!

I have a friend who says he wants to die at age 99, shot by a jealous husband.
