I thought I was a car nut until I flunked this with 4 out of 10 wrong. Apparently all Hondaƒ??s, Toyotaƒ??s, etc. look the same to me. ????

I'm definitely not a car nut. I was doing about as good as random chance on the quiz when I gave up. I didn't even recognize some of the brands existed, much less their model.

10/10 with a few lucky guesses.

5/10 but four of the correct answers were guesses, as were all of the wrong answers.

8 of ten

It is for modern cars...they all look the same...pretty much all ugly.

If the cut off was 1970, I would do better.

I was following a new car yesterday - Honda, I think -?ÿ and noticed that if they accented a particular crease in the body work just an inch or so more in next years model, they would become fins. Everything old is new again.

6/10 here, the Yukon I knew but the rest were guesses. Most cars these days generally resemble wedges on wheels.

Why don't they replicate shapes like this, with modern engines and safety stuff.

@flga-2-2

I think it's a Ford Falcon GT (HO Phase III) - the last of the Aussie XY's, and probably the only one in Onyx black. There was a Fairmont GT, that is "identical", made in Aussie but assembled and sold in South Africa. The Aussie's had a "Super roo" decal on them, while the South African's had a "Super rhino". 351 cui (5.9L) V8 giving around 350bhp.

By comparison, I have a 2006 BMW X5 that is 4.4L V8 fuel injected giving 320hp. Does 13L/100km.

EV's are very popular here. I'd say 95% of the used Japanese imports that come here are hybrid. I've got one, a Toyota Corolla station wagon. It's a great car, has a 1.4L petrol engine and a regenerative electric motor and does 5L/100km (which in another thread, Bill calculated to be 45mpg). Here it is, on-site.
