Found this today, when reviewing a medicine I was potentially thinking about taking... I know individuals in our profession that have been afflicted for years, so this must be a recoverable illness.
RPLS is a rare condition that affects the brain and can cause death. The cause of RPLS is not known. If RPLS is found early and treated, most people recover. Tell your doctor right away if you have any new or worsening medical problems including: headache, seizures, confusion, and vision problems.
As far as my reason for this disease, I passed the dang test...

Congratulations!

BTW - there is NO cure.......
I've had it since 2003, and I don't think I will be getting rid of it!
I don't think of it as an illness or addiction....
Call it denial if you want, just don't interrupt me while I'm typing....
When I make loud outbursts at the monitor, don't ask questions....
If you got questions, log on and keep up, ok............
😀
I've been showing symptoms since 1986, but was officially diagnosed in Oregon with RPLS in 1998. In 2001, we moved to Arizona in an attempt to alleviate the symptoms, but my RPLS was confirmed once again in 2003. Realizing that the move was futile, I returned to Oregon and started treatment in 2006. However, I still find myself relapsing from time to time. At this point, I've realized that there is no cure.
Quick, go to a realtor office, and spend a day there. It is the only cure known....... and does not always work!
🙂
congrats

Is a PLS a lessor version of the same disease?
