Does anyone in the Real World actually use this term?
Have been enjoying watching The Tales of Wells Fargo on MeTV lately.?ÿ One of the characters, Mary Gee, regularly uses that phrase when told to go do something she doesn't really like doing.?ÿ Occasionally, one of the other characters will use it as well much like "aw, fudge" or something similar.
BTW, as there are many horses in this Western they should have given Mary Gee a sister named Mary Haw.?ÿ One could have been left-handed and the other right-handed.
I think my young brain in the 1950's picked up on too many terms used by the Three Stooges. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.
I don't use that term, but I do use "Aw, *F*!" When I am in one of those moods to use it. ???? ???? ?????ÿ
My grandmother on my father's side used it often.
Maybe a story behind that
Aw.?ÿ Poor Foot.
?ÿ
Reminded me of the story of the two little skunks named In and Out.?ÿ The story begins when In goes out but doesn't come back in.?ÿ Mama skunk sends Out out to bring In in. (insert very long story with many ins and outs as well as In and Out)?ÿ Eventually Out comes in with In.?ÿ Mama skunk asks Out how he managed to find In.?ÿ "In stinked", said Out.
