According to the www:

The 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado was the?ÿfirst?ÿU.S.?ÿfront-wheel-drive car since the Cord 810. But before that:

It changes every year.?ÿ The last article I read said VW, then a few months later it was Renault. - it really isn't the easiest thing to track live:

A new turbo four-cylinder Accord will put nearly any (stock) vintage muscle car to shame.?ÿ Especially if there's even a slight curve involved 🙂

Not say they weren't gorgeous, but I've heard my fair share of old-timers wax nostalgic and danged if those cars don't get faster every year.?ÿ Especially when discussing Chevelles and GTOs.

@jflamm

You are correct that was a typo on my behalf, it should have been 4.0 seconds, not 14, I was thinking 1/4 mile seconds which nothing in the '60's could do not even Art Arforn (sp?) with his jet dragster.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I figured as much!?ÿ Thanks for this awesome post though!

@paden-cash

I mentioned to you a month or 8 years ago that I would post pics of the cars I have romanced. Started digging in the box full of pics and SWMBO gets wind of what I'm doing and decides to "help". After 64 minutes of listening to "Oh remember this!" I took what I could find and left her to look for the pics for me. She's still a work-in-progress. Here's what I have so far and when I find the rest (the good cars) I'll post them. Pics are terrible!?ÿ

Last bike 305 Super Hawk (before sportster pipes and chrome fenders)

?ÿ

305 super hawk

66 Chevelle 327/275hp and SWMBO age 16?ÿ

chevelle

SWMBO age 19 3 days before we were married. Going to the beach on a Thursday, graduating HS Friday nite, got married Saturday morning.

larqa2

Swmbo @ 24 the last day she ever had to work for anybody.

laura

?ÿ

She's still a really good looking and has a great figure for a woman at 70 . (won't put on a bikini for pic)?ÿ ?????ÿ

When I find these, 67' Camaro 396 , 68' GTO 400 4bbl not, 3 2's, and 69' SS396 Chevelle, I'll post them somewhere here.

Very cool.?ÿ Love the 305.?ÿ I wish I had pics of all the old iron I've owned.?ÿ I'd have to check with a brother to see if he has any.?ÿ I think my first wife poured a can of lighter fluid on my old box of photos and lit them up.?ÿ I still wished she had lit up herself on her during the process....

?ÿ

And aren't you two just the cutest little lovebugs??ÿ Something to be proud of for sure.
