land a 747 atop a building!!
The 747 will be the start of two water slides at the Evergreen
Museum complex in McMinnville, Oregon.
I just threw in the armor for interest.
I didn't pay for admission this trip, but just walked around the outside, as there is a wide, concrete walkway from the manufactured home park that Dee Anna's oldest sister lives in to the museum.
Have a safe and relaxing Labor Day!

Have they installed the water slide yet?
Ty - I didn't look like it from the east side.
I didn't get over to the west side for a view.
Scott
Sfreshwaters, you were like 20 miles if that from us. 🙂
We may stop by there next Friday to check it out. I wanna see that giant plane too!!! 🙂
Whats the livery on the side/tail of the plane Scott?
Boeing 747...ranks up there with Internet and GPS as one of the greatest creations by humans in my opinion.
That would be Evergreen International.
Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum doesn't seem to be keeping it's web page up.
Try this one:

So, they did get that beast up there... Our trip to McMinnville during my short stay at the OR conference was a real highlight to the trip! Evergreen has got some fascinating plans for their complex. The tour around the Spruce Goose is well worth the time. I'd highly recommend it to anyone passing through within 200 miles. Well worth the detour.
Thanks again, Scott. You make a great tour guide.
