Here on the brighter side; the sun is shining, birds are singing...Look!... I think I see a rainbow. Life is good.

you gotta find the good

99% of what happens to us on a daily basis is good or at worst mundane

when we choose to dwell on that other 1% is when we find ourselves in trouble

It hit the mid 80's here in northern NH. Rode the ole Kawasaki 250 100 miles in shorts and a tee shirt with beautiful peak fall foliage conditions.

Let the yard go another week, has been three weeks since I cut it last. The blades are staying at about 3 inches, which means all the fertilizer I put out is going to root development which is what I need. I've sifted probably 4 tons of topsoil over a 100'x150' lot with a spreader over the past 10 years, and am finally getting a good thatch over the ground. Now I have to wait until the pine straw gets thick enough to take up with a rake designed for that and leave the thatch. At least that was my rationalization for not doing yard work this weekend.
