He forgot to add "up". It needed to be ground up. My suggestion would only apply if it needed to be "grounded".
Most sentences work better when "up" is added for clarification.

I watched the movies "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch" this evening after MNF and had to turn on the captions to get what was being said.
It was like each dude had their own language.
I like deer mixed with hog in sausage and I like Dutch Oven slow roasted deer in marinade of mixed veggies and potato logs.
The grounder is running, and the jerky is flowing....
