Playing "chicken" with a train?
Andy
"it kind of sucked him back in"
How does that happen?
Would you still consider him the winner? Or does death mean disqualification?
Actually death is the criteria for winning the award. The purpose of the award is to recognize the cleansing of the gene pool.
I was talking about the game of chicken 🙂
I don't know what kind of award he should get. He was 17 years old and still in middle school. Is that even allowed? I be danged if I want my daughter going to class as an 8th grader with a 17 year old numb nut!
Venturi Effect?
mass & velocity of the train perhaps caused enough pressure differential to cause the "outside" air to pull him back toward the train?
I never took fluid dynamics in school.
Venturi Effect?
I would think that the pressure from the front of the train (kinda like the bow wave of a ship) would have pushed him away. I did take fluid dynamics but that was (mumble mumble) years ago.
Andy
Venturi Effect? Bernoulli Principle
Bernoulli Principle would change the air pressure surrounding the train and can suck the air back towards the train.
That is why Formula One Cars don't fly away.
matter of fact some of them some of them also use the air exhaust for a little added effect.
But... he could have lost his balance or was high on something that impaired judgment.
