I am feeling kind of odd.... the antibiotics have my digestive system sort of in turmoil, and I'm not strong yet. I can work a little. No more antibiotics

My short term memory has gotten a bit better.

I had some sort of resperitory infection, in my chest and lungs. Pneumonia, and other fine stuff.

Anyway, here is some soothing music, for any tired surveyors out there, who want relaxing music:

Secret Garden, sleepsong

I think I will get a glass of milk, to calm the tummy, as I listen.

Nate:

That sucks. What antibiotics are you on?? Antibiotics will definitely put your digestive system in turmoil. Try some yogurt or acidophilus pills about an hour after you take the antibiotics. It puts back the good bacteria that the antibiotics kill off in your digestive system and it works. 🙂 It's good to eat yogurt or take acidophilus daily, regardless, because of the healing bacteria.

I hope you get better ASAP. It's no fun being sickie. I can attest to that firsthand!!

Hugs!

I'd hafta get the jar... doc said it was good for lymes disease. Ummmm there I remember doxycycline.

It is bad when you cannot think clearly, and you know it is due to antibiotics.

My sister has been suffering the past three weeks over antibiotics she took.
A few weeks back she went in for minor foot surgery and was prescribed some antibiotics, she is just starting to feel better from them.

Oh yes and doxy is a strong one!! Try the yogurt/acidophilus about an hour after. It will also give you back the good bacteria for the mouth sores/throat problems, etc... it is amazing at the difference it makes. 🙂

And, you are MEAN to say fast! without food the antibiotics drill holes in me!

Nate

Our pharmacist is always recommending this stuff called "Probiotics" for use after taking the antibiotics.

Seems sorta like a racket, but maybe he knows better than me about all things biotic.

Lay down your head
And I'll sing you a lullaby
Back to the years
Of loo-li,lai-ley
And I'll sing you to sleep
And I'll sing you tomorrow
Bless you with love
For the road that you go

May you sail fair
To the far fields of fortune
With diamonds and pearls
At your head and your feet
And may you need never
To banish missfortune
May you find kindness
In all that you meet

May there always be angels
To watch over you
To guide you each step of the way
To guard you and keep you
Safe from all harm

Loo-li,loo-li,lai-ley

May you bring love
And may you bring happieness
Be loved in return
To the end your days
Now fall of to sleep
I'm not meaning to keep you
I'll just sit for awhile
And sing
Loo-li,lai-ley

May there always be angels
To watch over you
To guide you each step of the way
To guard you and keep you
Safe from all harm
Loo-li,loo-li,lai-ley
Loo-li,loo-li,lai-ley

Get to feelin' better Nate...ya got to get your strength up for the Mount Magazine meeting.

Oddly, in the last year my want of tuna has increased 100fold.

I've been on an herbal diuretic for a few years that has helped my allergies and has helped reduce flu and pneumonia symptoms. It also takes the fluid buildup away from my joints. There are many on the market to choose from. After I started this routine I learned that a good lifelong friend was licensed in the arts of herbs. She told me I had made the right choice for what was bothering me.

Have a complete recovery and don't forget to rebuilt your vitamin content.

Nate, here's what's going on...

Antibiotics are one of THE worst causes of yeast and fungal growths in the gut. Thus the PRObiotics. Yogurt is a good cheap source of them. Here's what you do, mix 4 parts plain(stay away from the sweetened flavored crap)blended yogurt with 1 part molasses. Eat it as is, chilled in the freezer or frozen once in the morning and before you go to bed. The molasses, believe it or not, is full of minerals and a very good source of energy. It's also amazingly tasty when mixed with yogurt. Even better than on a hot buttered biskit.:-)

Anyway, hope ya get better soon and take care.

Ed, I believe you are right.

Wife is making 2 gallons of yogurt. It is "making" tonite, and it will then have to chill, and be ready at 10:00 tomorrow.

So, I cant do what you say... yet.

But I can ask for molasses milk tonite. We have a cow. And milk her.

She puts molassas, and some other spices in it, nutmeg, and cinnamon, vanilla etc. It is good.

That will be my night drink.
